“It’s musical crack”

It’s a mixture of politics and narcotics hooked with choruses that will have you singing along with the top down. The Wood Floors have delivered Dry White Heat and it’s a scorcher of an album.

A mix of 80’s synths, sing-a-long melodies, and sonic swipes of guitar served in an indie-pop format make for a powerful cocktail that delivers a great buzz. From a night out “Inferior Complex” to computer romance “Online Christianthon” and a dramatic waltz with the day-to-day “I’ve Seen That Film Before” The Wood Floors deliver an album like no other in their career.

“It’s musical crack”, says singer/songwriter Chris Howe, “It’s an addictive listen”. Drummer Eric Scheiner describes the recording process as, “Weird, but once the melodies and guitar pastiches came together, I knew we had created something really special”.

5 years and 20 albums into their career The Wood Floors are changing gears and going strong. Once described in reviews as dark, “creepy-cool narcopoppers” the band is sounding bright and more optimistic then ever before. Parking the new album in between classic pop and sonic art-rock may be a new location, but the space may have been reserved for them for some time.
