Details:
Jordan Carp''s music is a heartfelt celebration of life. His unorthodox approach to the guitar, combined with his hauntingly beautiful melodies and "impressionist-like" lyrics are earning him praise throughout the Northeast with comparisons to Peter Gabriel, Paul Simon, Sting, Dave Matthews, James Taylor, Marc Cohn and Bruce Hornsby.
Since the release of his first full length album, Ivy Growing on Brick in January 2004, the CD has sold nearly 1,000 copies and has placed him on rotation throughout the Northeast''s most competitive rooms including Club Passim, The Paradise Lounge, Johnny D''s, Nectars, Muddy River Smokehouse, The Living Room, The Bitter End, The Point, and many more. He was selected to showcase at the NACA Northeast convention this November 2004 in Marlboro, MA and performs at Prep Schools in the Northeast as well.
Jordan has earned the support from local TV and Radio throughout New England, and has appeared in clubs and festivals with artists such as Tim Reynolds, Ed Gerhard, Andy Stochansky, Ryan Montbleau, Braddigan (Dispatch), Reed Foehl, (Acoustic Junction), Dada, Kevin So, Rob Gonzalez, Josh Fix, and Julian Velard.
As tough as it is to pursue a career as a performing musician, In Sep 2003 Jordan was diagnosed with Multiple Sclerosis. He states in a November 2003 interview with the Boston Globe that "writing and performing music is the most effective healing of medicine for me." Jordan donates a portion of proceeds from album sales to the National Multiple Sclerosis Society. He continues to earn a loyal following in all of his current markets and performs and promotes himself in the Boston Transit Authority (T) while not on the road.

"Carp makes full use of rich, harmonic textures, contrapuntal melodies, and jazz pop progressions to weave a most distinct sonic tapestry.
