I was born in 1969 in Phoenix, AZ. God gave me a wonderful family - My Mom, Dad and brother. I grew up in Idaho in a very close, loving, communicative, Christian family, and to this day (I''m 34 years old), we are all still very close and talk every day.
I went through private school K-12, and enjoyed that very much. During this time, I had a combined 10 years of piano and voice training, but focused more on my singing in high school, as our choir and ensemble traveled, and scored highly in our competitions. After high school, I attended a technical institute for a year.
Following this, I met my husband-to-be and he helped me begin my administrative career when I was 19 at a large corporation in Idaho. I gained much knowledge as I saw the company grow and change over the 14+ years that I was employed. Lifelong friends were made over these years, and many are still very close, so I am very thankful for this working time of my life.
I married at 20, and we had our first of two beautiful children at 21. What a quick beginning this was for us! During these working years, being in the business world, and caring for family, my music took a lower priority than I desired. Because I recently exited the business world, I have had more time to devote to my family and music, therefore enabling me to commit more time and energy to my singing. I see this all as a gift from God, since singing, as well as family, are my passions in life. These past few years, I have been able to sing more -- at weddings, funerals, parks, stadiums, the local mission and veterans home, and various churches.
In spite of my love for singing, it has never come easy to be in front of a crowd. My nerves tend to get in the way many times, and I have been "blessed" with the great ability to blush, much to my family, friends, and co-workers'' humor over the years.
My desire in music is to encourage others with the words. My Mom, Dad, my husband and I have all written songs, which I have recorded from 1999 to present, and will continue to write and record, as long as God gives us the words and the music. Music is God''s gift to me. I truly cannot imagine life without it, and I am very blessed to have God, family and friends that support me in many ways as I go along!
