ROCK: Acoustic, COUNTRY: Country Pop

Details:
This California native self-taught rhythm guitarist began writing songs at the age of ten. Elvis Presley, the Eagles, Beatles and pop legend Karen Carpenter were her stronger influences in addition to rock-n-roll greats such as Led Zepplin, Peter Frampton, ZZ Top and the list goes on. It was Etheridge''s pounding rhythm guitar that prompted Joey to take her music on the road. With one suitcase and a six-string ovation, she hitched a ride from a family friend trying Texas on for size and taking her original music to the downtown streets of Austin. Rather than making Texas a palette for music alone, Joey D made Texas her home.

After a few years of storming the Texas Hill Country''s clubs, local dives, biker runs, festivals and town fairs with her rock band "Loaded Gunz," she moved to Houston and became a member of the (HAAM) Houston Area of Acoustic Musicians, MyTexasMusic and the Houston Fort Bend Songwriters Association. She has developed her stage act as a solo recording artist and as a duo act with singer/songwriter lead guitarist Willie B. Together they have combined their songs on stage delivering a powerful performance of alternating harmony and screaming guitars. They also wrote and produced "Hummer for you", an exclusive soundtrack to convince the ex New York Yankee pitcher Roger Clemens to come out of retirement and sign with the Houston Astros. This soundtrack is part of a video interview produced by LiveFromTexas Video Productions where Radio personalities Dean and Rog of KKRW 93.7 "The Arrow" attempted to give Clemens an H2 Hummer to sign with the Houston Astros. The video can be viewed at https://www.tradebit.com

Joey also has had the opportunity to perform at the Wildflower Festival and work as Master of Ceremonies for the singer/songwriter contest throughout the entire Festival weekend. She is on her third CD release. The first, "I''m Taken" which was released in January of 1999, the second, "I Like My Life" recorded at Omni studios in Nashville in 2002 and her recent release "Keep On Keepin On", a compilation of full production and acoustic rock originals.

Her high energy and presence goes beyond stage capacity and continues to captivate audiences of all ages. Her versatility in her songwriting ability is astounding!

Joey''s Texas music influences over the last several years have helped develop her sound and style into a living classic Texas Rocker. Her rebel like spirit keeps each performance more driving and powerful than the last. The Rebel Spirit of Texas is certain to become one the greatest artists of our time.

You can catch the rebel screaming on a stage near you by staying tuned to her website schedule...

And remember.........
"When you get to the end of all the light you know and it''s time to step into the darkness of the unknown, faith is knowing that one of two things shall happen: either you will be given something solid to stand on, or you will be taught how to fly"
