I was raised is a small Southern California town, when Southern California had small towns. I grew up with the same kids all through high school. The first time I heard one of them play surf music with an electric guitar in the high school gym, I was fascinated. I started writing my own songs with the Beatles, Byrds and Stones for guides. Then came the Hendrix, Zeppelin and Clapton influences. I wrote songs featuring a twelve string guitar. I loved the almost bell like quality with the harmonics and timbre. Finally, I compiled the songs into one album, "Twelve String". With the full sound and beautiful ringing of the strings on the melodic passages, I have accomplished what I intended. To bring the sound I have admired for years, to listeners everywhere.-John Bacon-
