"Quality roots music... twang and pang!"- Boston Herald

In the spirit of Tom Petty, Lucinda Williams and Jeff Tweedy, John Haydon is alt-country at its best! For five years, Haydon has delivered New England-based audiences songs written from the heart and built to last.

The distillation of all these years is contained in his latest effort, She''s Gone, titled after the loss of his mother back in July of 2002. "I would visit my Mom in CT every other week or so for the past 2 years because she was very sick. I played everything I wrote for her - she was my number one critic, coach and fan! Each song on this record has her stamp of approval."

She''s Gone, produced by Pete Weiss, is already getting recognition among fans & music industry alike. The song "Broken Too" has been selected as a finalist for endorsements and licensing opportunities.

It''s easy to see why: She''s Gone is a collection of 12 tunes with classic rock-country sensibility. You''ll find the infectious roots-rocker "You Got Me Lost"; the heartfelt determination of "This Time" and the solo acoustic track, "Where There Used To Be Tears" breaking up the middle of the record with poignant self-reflection.

John Haydon plays all over New England at venues including his favorites: TOAD, The Lizard Lounge and the Kendall Café.

"This is an incredibly good, country-folk album. While Haydon''s voice would fit perfectly in any folk festival, it is also accessible to a roots-rock crowd. And while the songs average more than 4 minutes, they pass fleetingly. Ah versatility. Definitely ''A'' material!" - Shredding Paper

"...for the No Depression set; old school all the way, its aching lyrics and longing harmonies are proof that the heart of alternative country is still beating. The songs are a study of the similarities between Hank Williams and AC/DC." - https://www.tradebit.com

"Play the group''s new CD in between a Johnny Cash or Tom Petty disc and you''d never guess these boys are yanks from Boston." - https://www.tradebit.com
