Details:
What is JointMethod? If an antecedent circumstance is invariable present when, but only when, a phenomenon occurs. It may be inferred to be the cause of that phenomenon.

That''s bullmake. I looked it up on the Internet and that''s what popped up. In reality it''s difficult to define JointMethod because of the number of different elements that make it up. I can start by telling you that as a band, it''s a group of good-hearted souls uniting to make music. We are all very close friends. Fuck that we are family, and making tunes is what we do to let off some steam, deal with issues, etc. The product of this effort is a unique sound. I can''t explain in words the feeling that comes through all of us when we get together in a room and jam out. It''s better than any pill, drink, or drug that could ever be mentioned. It''s natural.

It''s that natural high that brings me to the ideology of JointMethod. As we embarked on this trip in the winter of 2001, I couldn''t have predicted the many emotions that this band would take me through. At first, it was about making music that meant something again. We were all tired of the bullmake-manufactured sounds that were invading us from the radio waves. As we pressed forward, we came to believe that JointMethod was simply about creating. It shifted from just looking at ourselves as a band and we started looking at ourselves as artists on a mission. That mission is expression at whatever the cost. Because expression is unpredictable, our music would be that way. We aren''t afraid to take you through a slow, smoked-out hip-hop trip and suddenly hit you with an urban firestorm of rock that shouts at all that is unjust. It is a movement now and we will be free. Mentally if nothing else.

Along the line we have met many interesting people who strive to be free and are doing something about it. This list includes artists of all fields such as directors, animators, singers, other musicians, designers, painters, graff artists, poets, you name it. Even though we can''t and won''t speak for all of them, we would like to establish a joint movement between all of us. We as artists have a duty to be a reflection of society and thing more. We believe that you have to be you. That means because of your voice, in whatever media, you a representation of all people like you.

As for us and the people we represent, it goes a little something like this. We are, because of our different backgrounds, where the earth meets the pavement, where nature meets industry, where life meets death. In this fucked-up world where nothing is certain, we want to scream to the world that we exist and we will persevere.

We the people do hereby eat lunch at places where the patrons wear uniforms because those people are the true fibers of America. We are the underbelly of urban and rural decay. We stay true to values of family and genuinely care for our fellow man, but if you need some herbs, we know who to call. We don''t actually do the crime, but if the price is right, we''ll buy some stolen make. We don''t do the hard make, but if you want it, we know who has some. We''re the section just over being flat broke and just under making it over the paycheck-to-paycheck drama. We are the people who''ve seen dark days, but still dream of sunshine. We are the people whose parents busted ass so we could have a career and not just a job. We are those people who know how to hustle but wish and hope they don''t have to. In summation, we are those who are on the paddle boat saving money for the engine and that engine will take our offspring, not us, to distant shores we can only dream of. They will walk there. I realized that my father''s gifts to me weren''t toys but dreams and aspirations beyond his reach. He didn''t dream as far as I do and he didn''t complain about his lot in life. He is my stepping-stone to a better tomorrow as I am for my children.

This culture is urban and country and undoubtedly Texas. We are not our clothes, our cars, our money, or our hoes. We give you our souls put to sound. We are about the reality of life. It''s happy and sad. It''s fast and slow. It''s hard and soft. And it''s love and hate. Everything that encompasses the true human experience is what we strive to represent. We know where not perfect and we like that way. We can''t judge you when the verdict is still out on us. Peace, My Brothers and Sisters.
