Kalim Addison is Minister of Music for the Shiloh Baptist Church, New Rochelle, New York. He is a clasically trained musician studying at the Brooklyn Academy of Music under under such greats as Dr. Milton Darby and Professor David Gray. His training and musical experience brings a unique focus to the art, and he is in high demand as an authority in the area of the history and evolution of black music. Additionally, his training as an educator and clinician gives him advanced insight into the effects of music on the human emotion.
In this debut cd with the combined choirs of the Shiloh Baptist Church, "I''ll Say Yes," Kalim has brought together soloists and musicians of varied backgrounds and skills from throughout the US. Donna Ware, of Memphis, TN; Eddie Parker, of New York, NY; and David Nelson are just a few of the individuals who worked to make this a one-of-a kind celebration of song!
"I''ll Say Yes," was recorded live at the Shiloh Baptist Church, New Rochelle, NY to a packed house. Soloists Eddie Parker, Donna Ware, and Quawana Nelson were in their finest hour. Narrator Bishop Gary Hill rallied the audience to praise, and the annointing of the spirit was evident!
Kalim Addison is truly a unique individual, possessing unique musical talent, with a sound all his own. He has also recorded a series inspirational songs, "I Dreamed A Dream," recently released under the Addison-Norsep lable.
