Pall and Joey met in Sydney, Australia when Pall was on a business trip from Hollywood, California. Joey was preparing to leave Australia for Berlin,working and saving. After a beautiful night out to dinner Pall and Joey went to Centennial Park and played songs on Joey''s acoustic guitar for hours. They made beautiful music together all night long..... It was then they realized that there was something special between them and it should last longer than just one night. A few months later, Joey was flown to Hollywood and the partnership began and continues.
The original musical style of The Sign is drawn from rock, blues, pop and folk styles from Led Zeppelin, Eric Clapton, The Beatles, Roger Glover, to The Pretenders, Chrissie Amphlett & The Divinyls, XTC Joan Baez etc, etc. The Sign consists of Joey Dee, a true Tasmanian artist/singer/songwriter/actor and Pall, American guitarist/vocalist/engineer/producer. Over many character building years this female/male combination have evolved to their present form. Constantly transcending, The Sign uses 12 string and 6 string acoustic guitars to present a fresh original sound.
Joey Dee has performed in Hobart, Melbourne, Sydney and New York, and her offsider Pall, has performed all over the entire eastern seaboard of North America to Los Angeles, California.
