Texas Justice was produced by Johnny Rawls who also appears as a guest artist. The song Lone Star Justice generated controversy in Houston when it received heavy airplay and was the subject of a Corpus Christi newspaper article. The CD reached number 15 on US blues radio airplay charts in May 2002. Blues Revue called it "a seamless blend of blues, soul and funk...one of the most auspicious debuts of the year".
