Allyse was born in Orem, Utah, to parents, Tom and Becky Smith. Allyse is the oldest of eight children and grew up in Southern California. She has been singing since she was six weeks old and has always been encouraged to use her musical talents to uplift and inspire others.
In August of 2006, Allyse had the opportunity to sing for internationally acclaimed pianist, Marvin Goldstein, at Brigham Young University. From that initial meeting, Marvin and Allyse decided to collaborate on a sacred album,"Come Thou Fount". Songs were carefully chosen with music and vocals arranged to invoke peace. This past year and a half, Marvin and Allyse have performed in concerts together across the United States which has included a variety of Jazz, Broadway, and Popular Classics.
Allyse was married to Spencer Taylor on September 29, 2007. She is now happily residing in Lakewood, CO.
