In May of 2005-Gregg Won flew in from L.A.-teamed up with Whiplash Label mates Rick Rivets and Steve Dummy to play the CD release party for the Up All Night show at Cafe 9 on May 21st, in New Haven https://www.tradebit.coms is where-"9 in Five" Gregg Won and The Light Street All Stars-Live At Cafe Nine" was born. The following was Posted Friday, April 1, on The Incas Records website by Joe Snow.

I have been getting a lot of positive feedback concerning this show. I think it is going to come together in a really big way. I just hope that everyone will get in to see the show. Cafe Nine is a small venue but easily the best choice available for such an event.
I have been hinting for awhile now that there was going to be some festivities celebrating the release of the long awaited "Up All Night" compilation and I can now spill the beans...
GREGG WON - Guitar player and sometimes singer for bands such as Epitome, The Kids, The Shapes,-and of course- The Wet Dreams, is making the long trek back to CT from his current residence in California just to once again show Connecticut music fans how it''s done. Gregg will surely ROCK ''EM DEAD singing all the hits. This Light Street Badass has not forgotten his roots........

"Gregg Won and the Light Street All Stars" set should prove VERY interesting. Gregg has enlisted a top notch band to back him up consisting of Steve Ellison (The Dummy''s-ZOUL) on drums and vocals and RICK RIVITS on bass and vocals. Rick was the original guitarist for the New York Dolls and later formed an amazing string of bands including The Brats, Corpse Grinders and The Slugs. This should really be a rockin'' good time.

THE ABOVE WAS WRITTEN BY THE NOW OWNER OF INCAS RECORDS-CONNECTICUTS LEADER IN PUNK ROCK RECORD LABELS. AND ROCK WE FUCKING DID. JUST LISTEN TO ANY OF THE TRAX AND IM SURE YOU WILL AGREE! RICK AND STEVE POUNDED OUT A BACK-BEAT WON COULD ONLY DREAM OFF. AND GETTING 2 PLAY 2 OF RICKS SONGS WITH HIM SINGING LEAD WAS MEZMERIZING!-FOR MORE INFO ON ME AND MY BAND-GO TO https://www.tradebit.com AND SEE WHAT YOU MISSED. Gregg Won

THE BELOW IS RE-PRINTED FROM JEFF TERRANOVA''S ANTI EMO RADIO SHOW-WHICH IS HEARD EVERY MONDAY NIGHT ON W.N.H.U. NEW HAVENS CT.S OWN PUNK ROCK D.J.! https://www.tradebit.com

Saturday May 21st.

Michelle and I arrived at Cafe Nine at 8 PM and you could feel the magic in the room.
The night was truly history in the making. Now, I was never a Light Street Bad Ass and I never had the pleasure to hang out down at Ron''s, but everyone treated me as if I was one of them. Be sure to check out the pictures from the night and I hope that in some way shape or form they can project the magic that was in the air on Saturday night! The band, the attitude, the music, the vibe was the the closest you will ever get to it being 1978 all over again!

There are very few times in one''s life that you can be a part of something truly magical and I want to thank Joe and Sue Snow for making me a part of this night and for also making me an honorary member of the Connecticut Punk Preservation Society! If you have not already purchased a copy of the Up All Night compilation cd, you can do so at https://www.tradebit.com

I want to thank Café Nine for agreeing to host the show! Since Paul and Gary took over the Nine the New Haven music scene has definitely blossomed and we are all indebted to The Musicians Living Room!

Thanks to all of the bands, Gregg Won and the Light Street All Stars, Epitome, the Dummy''s, the Editors, Xtras/X-Factor and the Reactors for making this happen. Let''s hope that it''s not another 25 years until you all see one another again!

I also owe a huge thanks to Johnny Flat Top, Rick Hendricks and Ernst who have time and time again taken me under their wings and shared many a story, passed along music and a contact and mostly just for still being passionate and sincere about their youth and the CT punk scene!

We are ALL definitely NOT too old to be "Punk Rockers" and NONE of us are ready to die!!!

Check out some press on the show...

Joe & I had the amazing opportunity to get to hang out at Bonehead Studios (Tom Boudreau Of Rude Awakening''s studio) in Ansonia, Ct. in the couple of days preceding the Up All Night show.
Gregg Won & the Light Street All-Stars & the Dummy''s came, rehearsed and banged their hearts out getting ready for the show. It was great to get to know everyone a little bit better & taste a sample of the mayhem to come. We also got to hang out at Ricky Zito''s place & see Epitome put together their surprise set which was a complete blast. THANK YOU-JOE-SUE-AND JEFF!!!So as you can see-from cradle to grave-this turned out to be one ass kick night!-Gregg Won

now buy the disc.
******PLEASE NOTE******
DUE TO THE FACT THAT THIS SHOW WAS TAPED ON A RINKY-DINK HAND HELD CASSETTE RECORDER-I TOOK THE LIBERTY OF ADDING ADDITIONAL LOW-ENDS TO HELP ROUND OUT THE SOUND (bass drum and some bass riffs)-Gregg Won.
