Coral Gables. Fla., March 20, 2007– Evocative works of music arouse distinctive emotions,
depending on the innermost dreams of each listener. On her first CD, “Sweet Moments,”
the romantic instrumental melodies of composer, arranger and performer Mariella have
inspired a potent mix of heartfelt reactions.
“My music stirs up a lot of passion,” Mariella says, or so enraptured fans have professed
after one of her performances at the Biltmore Hotel, the International Arts Festival in
Coral Gables and at Barnes & Noble locations in Pembroke Pines with appearances throughout the East coast.
“Some feel a great magic in their souls, some recall intimate moments with loved ones, and others reminisce about special times.”
In many South Florida hotspots of sizzling Latin beats and hardcore hip-hop, the soothing,
romantic music of Mariella offers an oasis of solace, a comfort zone in which to relax
inspiration – the classical works of Beethoven, Paganini, Vivaldi and Mozart.
Mariella composed and arranged every track on “Sweet Moments.” The classically
trained pianist has drawn comparisons to Franz Liszt in the passion of her compositions,
though jazz fans will also detect a note of contemporary cool amidst the classical form in
many of her live performances.
Mariella''s currently working on projects with Producers for motion picture scores,............... though listeners will already
feel the cinematic sweep of her work in “Sweet Moments,” a soundtrack in search of a
classic movie romance. On such haunting pieces as “Lover’s Waltz” and “Unforgettable
Only You,” it’s not difficult to picture love blooming to this special music.
