Details:
Since the late 80''s to the early 2000''s, these guys have been playing in cover bands all over the country.
The ironic thing is that at one time John Troute worked with JC Caballero and Tim McDonald worked with John Troute in seperate cover bands at different times. When these guys finally realaized that original music was the only real way to get any where, Black Pearl was born. The band came together in mid 2006. They released their debut album in January of 2007 entitled " Today is Yesterdays Tomorrow". Which seems somewhat difficult to keep in stock as Black Pearl nearly sells out every show. Fortunately, they have the capability to print more copies at any time. Their second album is due out early to mid 2009 and they''re constantly writing. The chemistry these guys posess make them a must hear must see kind
of band.

So please take the opportunity to listen the CD, as you''ll most certainly want these guys to be a part
of your entertainment needs.

Tim McDonald, lead vocalist, lead and rythm guitarst, and princable song writer brings 25 years of experiance to the band. Tim''s guitar and vocal styles are partly attributed by influences such as Nickleback, Tom Petty And The Heartbreakers, John Couger Melencamp, Los Lonely Boys, and of course Lynyrd Skynyrd. Tim gets his sound from a screamin'' Mesa Boogie loaded with Celestion speakers. He comes equiped with an arsenal of effects pedals that gives him a sound that''s loud and proud from clean to dirty and everything in between. Tim posesses the energy that allows him the stage presents that should be expected from any top notch rock-n-roll front man. This guy will be sure to light a burning fire under the seat of every person in the crowd.

Gary "JC" Caballero - goes by "JC" was born and raised in Stockton CA, moved to Eugene OR in 1982.
JC has been playing bass for several years in Eugene and through out Oregon. He''s worked in bands such as Lickety Split and later Johnny Law And The Rebels. While laying down driving bass lines, JC adds amazing feel to the music like one of his influences James Jamerson. JC also comes up
with some of the warmest melodies heard in rock-n-roll today simalar to another one of his influences Sir Paul McCartney. His sound comes from a Yamaha 7RB-4P bass guitar driven by a Trace Elliot biamp system. JC has the uncanny ability to lay down vocal harmonies that bring Black Pearl''s vocals to a full circle and a bass guitar thunder that''ll keep you vibrating all the way home.

John Troute 30 year percussion veteran, honed his Oakridge-raised drumming skills right into a 5 year national touring stint with the group Flasher. He performed in and around Lane county most recently with Tim McDonald in Repeat Offender and JC Caballero in Johny Law And The Rebels. John has also spent time as a studio musician for Powerstation Studios. Mr. Troute gets his hard hitting thunderous style from influences such as John Bohnam from Led Zepplin, Tommy Aldridge from the Pat Travers Band and Neil Pert from Rush. John''s gear consists of a custom built Tama drum set complete with a full arae of Zildjiian symbols, and a DW 5000 double bass drum pedal. He has the ability to add the low end vocals that complete Black Pearl''s three part harmonies, part of which makes them unique. In every show that John plays, you''ll most certainly feel the earth move under your feet, and you may wander if your chest will explode.
