MP3 Troels Skovgaard - They Talk Too Much

Is the typical "late night - blues bar - drunk too much in heartache" type of song you hear in a movie with good enough soundtrack. Great arrangement, cool organ, guitarfills and solo, and very soulful lead and backing vocals.

People who are interested in Eric Clapton Paul McCartney Larry Carlton should consider this download.

Details:
I began to play guitar at the age of 12 after having heard “Here Comes the Sun” from the Abbey Road album of the Beatles.

I played some rock''n roll & pop in different coverbands - and studied for 2 years at the Conservatory of Classical Music.

In 1983 I met four great guys and we started a Rock''n roll band called "The Bamboo Brothers".

The Bamboo Brothers toured a lot in Denmark, and a little in Sweden and Germany. They made two albums: "No Easy Way" and "Bamboo Brothers".

I started to get jobs as a sideman too and over the years I have played/recorded with a lot of Danish and foreign artists.

The Bamboo Brothers split up in 1995, and I went on with my own music as well as producing a little here and there.

I released my first solo album: ”Troels Skovgaard” in 2003.

The same year I started recordings for a new album together with my band and a lot of other musical friends from Copenhagen.

Also Alex Acuna, Justo Almario, Toots Thielemans, Jimmy Haslip, Kenwood Dennard, Ze Grey and Bob Bailey (musicians that I met and have played with over the years) who were all visiting Copenhagen during the recording-process joined in and dubbed beautiful stuff on some of the tracks.

The result was the double album ”No matter how far I go” which was released in February 2006.

In June 2007 one of my songs “They talk too much” reached the final of the international competition “The blues Heritage Contest” that takes part along with “the Lakeside Bluesfestival” in Järvenää, Finland.

I re-recorded the song with my actual band, went to Finland to perform it, and had the pleasure to watch it go on air in Finland, Denmark and even Australia.

Now in 2008 I am writing songs as much as possible hoping to collect a bunch of good stuff for my third album.
