Details:
Kevin Gould started his full time music career in a very unusual way. Back in 1973 Billy Graham was scheduled to run a special youth event at "Earls Court" London and the organization was looking for a theme song that would fit the particular direction they were going in. While all this was being planned, Kevin Gould had sent one of his songs called "Jesus is the King" to a publisher in London, who just happened to be the one given the task of finding the right theme song for the event (which, by the way, was called "Spree 73"). When the publishers and the Billy Graham organization heard the song, they immediately decided that it was a perfect fit. Not only that, but Kevin was also asked to record it and appear every night singing it at the event. Polydor Records put "Jesus Is the King " out as a single and Kevin was launched into a full time music career.

During a ten year period, Kevin performed concerts in many countries and four albums were released. "Let''s Join Together" (1973) on the Key label "True Stories" on the Myrrh label and "Clear Vision" on the Grapevine label and an independent offering called "Fine Linen".

In 1983 Kevin was offered a pastoral position with a church in Sheffield England and he decided to put his travelling days behind him. Today he is the Senior Pastor of Clover Pass Communmity Church in Ketchikan Alaska.

In 1997 Kevin released his fifth album called "The Wind and the Flame" It was recorded in Ireland and the songs go back to Kevin''s Irish and Celtic roots. The album was produced by guitar legend Barry Bynum and includes many fine Irish musicians playing an array of celtic instruments that beautifully complement the acoustic guitars that also take Kevin back to his roots.
Kevin Gould is a fine singer songwriter and has been acknowledged by many of his peers as being on of the best lyricists in the world. The songs all tell a story and much loving care is poured into their creation. They speak right to where people are and can also at times be somewhat prophetic.

Over the years Kevin has worked with some of the biggest names in the world. As well as sharing concerts with many of the Contemporary Christian Music artists of the 70''s "Jesus Movement", he has also worked with Cliff Richard, Johnny Cash, Paul Stookey (Pete Paul and Mary), and Barry Mcguire, (Eve of Destruction) with whom he still maintains a close friendship. He has also done many television and radio appearances and for a while hosted his own radio show for the BBC. He is featured in the movie about "Spree 73" called "Let''s join Together" made by Worldwide Pictures. Kevin has appeared in concerts at such world famous venues as The Royal Albert Hall, Wembley Stadium and Earl''s Court in London but has also performed in small intimate venues to small groups of people countless time and in countries all over the world.

Kevin says "I love to do live concerts and have never been too concerned about the size of the crowds, I''ve performed before thousands and before a handful. Either way, I appreciate being blessed enough to have the opportunity to share my music with others and that they''ve been interested enough to come and hear it."

About the latest album "The Wind and the Flame" Kevin says "This is without a doubt my best work. The song are very meaningful to me and hopefully will be to all who listen to them. Barry Bynum did a great job at producing and was also strongly featured as a guitaist and backing vocalist. I even re-recorded "Jesus is the KIng" the song that launched my music career, for sentimental reasons. All the other songs where written with the Celtic genre in mind and I hope that anyone who buys the album will be able to feel the love and joy that was poured into the tracks by everyone who contributed"

" The Wind and the Flame" album has received widespread acclaim from Kevin''s peers and the public at large. It is Christian/Celtic/Folk Rock at it''s best . Enjoy!!
