Details:
And now for something really exciting...
We present the stunning sophomore release from the critically acclaimed westcoast singer-songwriter Patrick Kilcoyne.
In this tight seven song CD package you will experience a shot of distilled americana through acoustic and electric guitars, trip beats and lush harmonies.
Like a shining diamond from the coal of commerciality this folk-rock troubador takes his experience from the L.A. club circuit and presents evocative jazz voicings in a dense tapestry of serenely assured music. Quickly gaining momentum on the rising wave of acoustic based pseudo-confessional poets he represents the coming voice in popular music.

We caught up to Patrick Kilcoyne from his base of operations in Los Angeles where we cornered him with these hard hitting, riveting and insightful questions:
Q: "What''s the most important part of a good song?"
A: "Besides a melodic hook and a strong beat, the most important part of a good song is the royalty check at the end of the year."
Q: "Where do you get your ideas for new songs?"
A: "When looking for new material I sometimes go down to the racetrack and put a few dollars on the ponies. That usually doesn''t give me any new ideas but it does get me out of the house for an afternoon."
Q: "You''re songs are very emotional. Do you write your songs from the heart?"
A: "I try to write songs from the heart...and if that doesn''t work then I just use a pen and paper."
Q: "Do you write your songs mainly on the guitar or on the piano?"
A: "I write the guitar songs on the piano and the piano songs on the harmonica."
Q: "What are your main influences as a writer?"
A: "My main influences as a writer are the two v''s: vodka and viagra."

Del Nileppez, senior director of promotions for Buddha Market Music:
"Buddha Market Music has long been a flagship in the L.A. community indie scene. Even during the turbulent 90''s, we kept true to our vision and now with newly signed acts like Patrick Kilcoyne, The GoToms and our latest addition: Garden Market, we will see that vision continue well into the next millennium."

People talking about this album:

Franklin Roosevelt: "The release of this CD is a day that will not live in infamy"

Lou Gehrig: "Today....I have heard.....the unluckiest music......on the face of the earth...."

John F. Kennedy: "I , err, uhh... that is to say that... auhh."

Donald Trump: "You''re fired !"

James Brown: "sahmenah people say...hah! ...good god!"

Of course we hope you have guessed that these latest comments were to be taken in a humorous way. The goal of this CD project is to get these songs exposure to all the singers and artists out there who are in need of some material for their next hit record.
