ROCK: Modern Rock, ROCK: Progressive Rock

Details:
Kixelsyd is a progressive rock trio whose musical creativity and sophisticated knowledge of music create a sound ahead of their time. Comprised of three male members from Nashville, TN: Bobby Holland, guitar and lead vocals; Louis Keller, bass; and Travis Tohill, drums, have been playing their unique style of rock music, which has been labelled "hippie-metal," since the summer of 2001. Kixelsyd has taken the term "progressive rock" to a new level. Seamlessly fusing modern hard rock, jam rock, pop, and funk, the band has a refreshingly raw sound full of thick grooves, mature musicianship, powerful hooks, and mesmerising melodies. Known for their energetic, quirky, and in-your-face live shows, the band is currently looking to expand their gigging radius and win fans over in the southeast and all along the east coast. Song writing is a truly collaborative effort for the band, with each member bringing their own unique style to every song. Spending most of the spring and summer of 2004 in legendary Nashville recording studio, CounyQ Productions, Kixelsyd has recently completed and released their debut studio effort, entitled "By The Door." The album, which was also produced by the band, contains 12 dynamic songs which can all be heard at live shows. Now, with a record under their belts, and a steadily growing following, this band is ready to make some serious noise on and off stage.
