"The Springs" band is the number one "teenage" Country band in America, and are on a mission to bring more teenagers to Country Music. They have recently been nominated for three ICM Awards, including Group of the Year, New Artist of the Year, and the Youth in Music Award. Their debut single, hit number ONE on both the Power Source top 100 Chart, and GTE Music''s top 100 Charts (Both their US and international charts). That single, "Mommy''s Little Man", written by one of the teenage band members climbed to #7 on CMA''s Europe''s main County Chart, out of 3,633 songs reported. At just the age of 15, Stewart, singer/songwriter for the band, won Cincinnati Star Search. In high school, they won the Nation two years in a row at the National FFA string band competition, while playing on live telvision in front of over 50,000 screaming teenagers. Tragedy struck on March 1, 2007 when a Tornado destroyed their high school, killing eight of their friends. Two band members were in the building at the time, and Stewart wrote a song about the event the next day. That song is the 12th track on their "Teens on a Mission" CD. Their high school is now thirty five trailers. Pop music has the Jonas Brothers, while Country has The Springs.
