“The Mothers In My Life” was written about how adopted children struggle with being given up (by their biological mothers) and chosen by another. (their adopted mothers) The child (in this song) deals with confusion from unanswered questions, issues of abandonment and fears of the future. In search of guidance, trust and resolution, the child turns to the Most High God, the Creator of all creation, who assures the child, “You are mine, and I am yours. Your identity and destiny are through Me. I have chosen you even before you were concieved in your mothers womb. You are fearfully and wonderfully made!" God gives the child the promise of unconditional love, a hedge of protection for safety, a peace that passes all understanding, a sense of belonging and future, and the will to release the emotional strongholds and move forward in life. Jeremiah 29:11 says, "For I know the plans I have for you," declares the Lord, "plans to prosper you, plans to give you a hope and a future." I pray that this song (God’s message) allows you to feel that “child like faith” in Him (to realize who’s you are-in Christ) and gives you healing and wholeness.
