Details:
Pete Kronowitt started playing guitar in the stairwells and quads of American University in Washington, D.C. There he developed a taste for all kinds of music and learned to express what he felt through songwriting. "Often songs are inspired from powerful events in life," says Pete, "but through these events, something positive is created."

Living by this belief, Pete has decided to make something positive happen with his current CD, "Threads." He will donate money from the sale of it to the Diabetes Research Institute and Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation. "My official goal is to raise $25,000," says Pete.

This may seem lofty for a little-know musician, until you find out something of Pete''s history. His parents founded the Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation in 1971 after his sister developed diabetes at age 2 1/2. Since then, Pete has raised money for a multitude of charities. 10% of the sales from the CD will benefit diabetes research.

Pete''s debut album, "Phases of the Heart," is comprised of 1o songs which span from what I call "Acoustic Popgressive" to earnest ballads to the double entendre'' of "Drink." The CD was recorded at Rutabaga Studios in Arlington, VA and produced by John Alagia. John production credits include the Dave Matthews Bands, Jon Mayer, Ben Folds, and Shannon Worrell.
