Kelly Swanson and her husband, Bill, live in High Point, North Carolina. Kelly graduated from Appalachian State University. While continuing her education in Greensboro, North Carolina, Kelly found herself in a writing class surrounded by teachers. After reading one of her short stories, several teachers approached her requesting that she come perform in their schools. And so began her storytelling journey. Somewhere along the way a town took birth in Kelly''s imagination, and wonderful southern characters sprung to life and began to speak. They haven''t stopped talking since. The town is Cedar Grove. Kelly continues to bring Cedar Grove to schools, churches, libraries, businesses, and storytelling festivals along the Eastern United States.
