Kara explains the title of LIVE From the DREAM:
"Have you ever had a day that passes by like a dream? I did on the 6th of April recording on-stage with my beloved and talented Gojo''s. In March we were having a drink at a bar and had the idea for it, got everyone on board, got an incredible venue all to ourselves for a day (but since it was moderately gorilla-style it will remain our secret;) Had the best everything: manager, engineer, producer, lighting artist, photographers, friends. The recording equipment was even donated. We recorded two projects in one day including the Kings County Caravan Volume I EP.
That day was a gorgeous blend of heady perfection. Luckily the intense work until this point gave me a chance not to take a minute of it for granted. That day I saw the dream I''m trying to live. And so the title was obvious. Coming to you live from my beautiful dream of a day."

There are reasons why Rock & Roll and Country music continue to be relevant forms of expression in the American landscape. In the early stretch of the 21st century, Kara Suzanne is one of those reasons. While Kara''s timeless lyrics and powerhouse vocal delivery are filled with signposts pointing to the classic influence of musicians like Emmylou Harris, Neil Young, and Dolly Parton, there is also a fresh and modern sensibility.
