Anton would firstly like to take the time to thank you for taking the time and effort to check out his music. He is clear that it is only through the listening of YOU the music lover, that he gets to do what he loves.
Anton basically writes about two different things. One is his spiritual journey and the second is love song for his wife and kids. These are the things that most inspire Anton. “I use to write political songs and the likes but always found I ended up being a hypocrite so I leave those sorts of songs to others these days.” Anton’s fascination with the mind is also reflected in the fact that he has a post graduate degree in psychology and has an avid interest in Eastern meditation and philosophies. Needless to say if you are after music about “drive bys” or “or “partying through the night”, you’re probably in the wrong place. All Anton’s songs are well thought out pieces with a great deal of depth that both inspire and challenge the listener. This content is then coupled with hooks and Anton’s smooth crooning voice the combination of which, get into your heart and won’t let you go. It’s the type music that feeds the soul.
Anton has been producing music for decades now and records and produces all his own material in his home studio “Big Ears Studios” under his label “BugEye Records”. He does this in his home town of Brisbane Australia. More often than not Anton plays all the instruments you hear in his songs and does his own midi programming, (although he does also love to collaborate with other artists when the opportunity arises).
Anton plays live up and down the Eastern Coastline of Australia but at present is concentrating more on the recording side of things. “I love the recording process. I find I get lost in it and it allows me to be present to the moment. I stop thinking about everything else and just hear the music. That''s about as good as i gets in life i believe. Music in general is like that I reckon and I think that''s a big reason why people are drawn to it so much”.
“Twist of Fate” was Anton’s first solo release under the banner of his own name. It is a very earthy warm recording and was recorded at a time when Anton wanted to strip things back a bit and go for a natural type of sound with acoustic and electric guitars bass and drums and liberal dashes of vocal harmonies.
