London, Ontario’s Abandoned Souls are a hard rock band on a mission to bring their style of music to the world. They have just released their sophomore album titled, “Some Never Will” on July 25. It is the highly anticipated follow up to their 2006 debut album, “Circle Of Shadows.” After the release of this first album they received 2 nominations in the London Music Awards, showcased at Canadian Music Week in Toronto, won the regional final in the Global Battle of the Bands and placed 4th in the Canadian finals. They had music featured in i2i TV’s extreme motor cross video, performed in the Sarnia K106.3 Original Music Showcase and opened shows for Kings X, Thornley, Default and The Salads. Most recently Abandoned Souls has had music featured on Tahoe Films new DVD release, “Sled Heads 4” and have been featured on Mike Cameo’s Indies Top 10 in April and July of this year.
The new album “Some Never Will” has a modern edge while still showing signs of their heavier musical influences. Hooky rhythms and uniquely different vocal melodies will draw you in and leave you listening again and again. They constantly try to push the envelope of creativity while keeping in line with the heavy style of music that they love. Music that is pure of heart and true to who they are as a band.
