Details:
The Political Blockheads are best described as "political cartoons set to music", and their 1st CD "Help! I''m Stalin... and I Can''t Get Up!" (rel 9/2000) is loaded with them.

It begins with an interview of Fidel Castro trying to explain why democracy never came to Cuba in the track "Military Moron", which counters with the equally dubious idea of invading Cuba "just to get my face on channel 4". The 3rd track, "Kill That Bill", is an acoustic romp blasting Congress that even your mother would enjoy, followed by epic political satire in "Silverado" where you can actually hear the wild west gunslingers riding off from the imfamous Savings & Loan leaving you "no more money to pay the rent". Further highlights include a lyrically-twisted perversion of "In The Year 2525" and a track called "Citizen Wayne" skewing the Orson Wells classic. It ends with a 3-chord punk blast called "Diplomat" and the otherworldly "South China Sea Spleen", where you "wait 5 years for a toaster, find out there is no bread, thanks for the TV set, but there''s no place to plug it in."
