Details:
My name is Daniel Martinez. I was born in Iquitos Peru and am 29 years old. I started playing guitar at the age of 14 when my mother gave me a used guitar that somebody had given to her. I named my guitar “Slash” (Gun’s N’ Roses first guitarist). I practiced learning new sounds and chords by ear. I was soon playing in several bands with friends, in high school on the Folklore Music Team, and on the Praise Team in my church. I came to the US to attend Union College and learn English. During my study there I met some very important people that encouraged me to pursue a music career.
I used various styles such as jazz, classical, and Latin styles. It is a great feeling to know that I have been given a wonderful talent and I am expanding my horizons in the field of music, instrumental acoustical guitar, and composition and learning about the universal language of music.
I feel called to a music ministry that will give others inspiration, hope, and relaxation.
