Details:
With her second CD, "Time Flies," Elizabeth Doyle adds great Chicago bass players to her distinctive vocals and piano. Steve Rodby (who plays with Pat Metheny), Jim Cox (one of Marian McPartland''s sidemen), Rob Amster (bassist for Kurt Elling), Larry Gray (who played on Joe Williams'' last recording) and actor/arranger/bass player, Bill Harrison assist on a jazzy mix of standards and originals.

Composers represented on the recording are Duke Ellington, LaTouche & Moross, Tommy Wolfe, Michel LeGrand with Johnny Mercer lyrics (as well as the original French lyrics), Frank Loesser, Rodgers and Hart, Dave Frishberg, Irving Berlin, Stephen Sondheim, Jimmy Dorsey & Paul Madeira, as well as three original numbers by Doyle.

Her current live show is "Dakota Blonde: The Lyrics of Peggy Lee" with an upcoming performance at the Skokie Theatre and other venues. Doyle was featured on Marian McPartland''s NPR radio program "Piano Jazz" June 2008. May of 2008 found her at the Swan Bar in Paris. She made her New York show debut with "Hollywood Blondes" November 2007 at the Metropolitan Room. She was the 2007 recipient of an After Dark award for cabaret performance.

During the six years she performed at Chicago''s famous Pump Room, she garnered compliments from Randy Newman, Billy Joel, Maya Angelou, Cleo Laine and John Dankworth, Christopher Plummer, John McMartin, Marilyn McCoo, Jimmy Dean, and Frank Sinatra Jr. As a composer, her single songs have been featured in Chicago cabaret shows at the Bailiwick, the Arts Club, Royal George, the Mercury, the Theatre Building, Davenport''s and Toulouse, as well as on Jim Rollins'' CD, "Photographs On the Walls Of the Pump Room." She had a song featured in an ASCAP Songwriter''s Showcase, August 2001 in New York. A new songbook by LML recording artist and lyricist D. C. Anderson features three numbers written with Ms. Doyle.
"Little Blue Boat" which has both music and lyrics by Doyle is on Patty Morabito''s debut CD, "The Delicate Hour."

Theatre goers have seen her full-length musical theatre productions in Illinois, Michigan, Minnesota and California. "Still In Love With You" is from her musical, "Fat Tuesday,'' written with Tim Pelton. "Sleepy Hollow," written with lyricist Owen Kalt and book writer Judy Freed, was featured in a Disney/ASCAP workshop at the Disney studios in Burbank, California. Songs from revues and her productions have been featured on WBEZ, the local NPR affiliate.

As a specialty, she has included one number in French on her first two CDs. She lived in France as an eighteen and nineteen year old and has been a Francophile ever since. She had one memorable lesson with the estimed Nadia Boulanger when she was still pursuing studies as a classical pianist.

She wrote her first chamber work, "Trial #1," which was performed at the Paradiso in Amsterdam fall of 2002, along with "A Ship In the Middle of the Ocean" for voice, piano and cello.

Deeply influenced by jazz, as well as classical music, she continues to build a repertoire that features the greater and lesser known works of American Theatre, Movie and Jazz Composers, as well as her own original material.
