Details:
Sarah has been singing and playing and writing songs since she was a wee little one growing up in the woods of Western Pennsylvania. Right after graduating from college with a classical piano performance degree, she packed up her VW Bug and head to Nashville to pursue her songwriting. After steeping in the alternative country scene and playing in area songwriter haunts, she headed back north and landed in New York City. Here is where Sarah found her musical home. Riding on the energy and collaborative spirit of the city she soon put together a band and recorded her first CD, No Going Home. The recording landed her on the top of Internet Charts such as https://www.tradebit.com and https://www.tradebit.com naming her Artist of the Month and "No Going Home" Cd of the Month and placed her on compilation CDs such as "The Best of Women on https://www.tradebit.com" and "The Top 100 Bands on https://www.tradebit.com" which was distributed free throughout the country.

Now Sarah has just released her second CD Everything''s All Right, the title echoing her struggles and triumphs of the two years between the CDs. Produced by her long-time bass player Mark Zubek, an award winning jazz composer, the album contains powerful piano based and pop infused melodies with a rich percussion foundation by Ethan Eubanks (David Meade, John Mayer) and deep layers of guitar and computer musings. The songs revolve around finding hope in the darkness, whether of lost love or of being lost in the city and display Sarah''s growth and depth as a songwriter.

Sarah wraps her emotions around the piano and croons with such sincerity as if it were the first time she ever sang the song. She''s earned packed houses at her favorite New York clubs and gained new fans at showcases throughout the country. At her first NACA conference showcase last year, she booked 30 college shows in just two hours after she performed. Other appearances include ASCAP''s "Quiet on the Set" Showcase and The New York Songwriter''s Circle (Lisa Loeb, Jill Sobule, Vanessa Carlton). Sarah is a member of the performing collective UrbanMuse which has earned the attention of Billboard Magazine and the New York Post. Sarah also joined the ranks of Aimee Mann, Fiona Apple and David Poe last year when she was given a month long residency at the club Fez in New York.

Sarah is currently promoting her new CD at colleges and clubs throughout the country and promoting her music to college radio.

What people are saying:

"Dynamic, textured, never dull, and rarely anything less than stunning, Lentz'' yearning, sensual songs prove that she''s more than a pretty face, and may well be one of the most under appreciated musicians in the New York scene. - Daniel Cohen, Music Editor for https://www.tradebit.com, "

"Gutsy piano crooner Sarah Lentz is truly a treat for New York music enthusiasts. The combination of her hysterical stage antics, intricate songwriting and soulful pipes is impressive. Her performance is actually so emotional you''ve got to wonder what her inspiration is. Normally backed by a tightly tasteful rhythm section, Lentz pounds angrily at her piano and sings boldly about tender situations in a manner that Alanis Morrisette and Fiona Apple would certainly envy. Expect your socks to be knocked off by compelling soul/folk/pop that is equally funky and rocking- Eric Elbogen, https://www.tradebit.com"
