The Representatives Quartet will celebrate their 20th year of singing the Good News of the Gospel in 2008. The group began in a Revival Service in early 1989, and has since ministered in literally hundreds of concerts across the State of Ohio and the Eastern Portion of the United States. The Group today consists of Jeff Hackworth, Jim McComas, Brien Workman, and John Tawney. Jeff Hackworth has been singing the bass part for the group since the beginning, and handles the Quartet''s finances. Jim McComas has been the baritone singer from day one, and also handles the promotional end of things. Brien Workman is the groups original lead singer, and handles most of the bookings. John Tawney has been singing tenor with the Quartet for over 16 years, and runs sound as well. The Representatives Quartet is a ministry of the Canaan Free Will Baptist Church in Creston, Ohio (https://www.tradebit.com). The entire group is every active in their local Church - Jim has been the Pastor of the Church for the past 15 years, both Brien and Jeff are Deacons, and John is the Sound Engineer. The group sings at the Church regularly throughout the year. Jeff Hackworth and his wife Brenda have two boys, Andrew and Austin, and reside in Wooster. Jim McComas and his wife Beth live in Creston with their two boys, Matthew and Aaron. John Tawney and his wife Jessica live in Rittman where they are celebrating the birth of their first child Grace Ann Tawney, and Brien Workman and his wife Karen also live in Rittman with their two children, Caleb and Haley. The Representatives host their Annual HomeComing Concert each year at Fisher Auditorium in Wooster, Ohio. Their 20th Anniversary Celebration is going to take place Saturday evening, September 27th, with special guests The Christian Unity Youth Choir, America''s Favorite Soloist, Mark Bishop, and the 1 Mixed Quartet in the Singing News Fan Awards for three years in a row, "THE PERRYS".
