“Fire Behind The Smoke” is Jewish-styled folk fusion at its finest. Recorded over a span of two years in the apartment of independent producer Mike Hayes (aka Skyy King) in Knoxville, Tennessee, it wasn’t accomplished without its fair share of re-takes and headaches. Mike was accustomed to dealing with rap and techno music. Rob was his first acoustic guinea pig. What you have here is the result of alot of improv, late nights, and a touch of Manichewitz....
