Rockiano “The official Bio”
Rockiano is a native Detroiter who grew up on the Westside. He began rapping in the mid 80’s. He became a staunch student of hip-hop has he matured and developed his own rhyming techniques. His music became his focus and passion. He admits that he eventually fell victim to his enviroment when he engaged in selling drugs to finance his recordings. Two years following the death of his mother (Billie Sue Lipsey) who lost her bout with chronic diabetes,a broken Rockiano sought God for answers concerning his life.
After recieving Christ as his personal Savior, He was called to change his music & message as well. He feels that he owe it to this generation, those in the neighborhoods and inner city to write meaningful songs. Rockiano feels that he is accountable for what he says on record, that young people are very impressionable. He is dedicated to making music that will enlighten, uplift and inspire an entire generation of youth that society has counted out. His 1st solo album was entitled “Message 2 Da’ Hood” which was released in 2006. He is now promoting his sophomore project entitled “THE REEL STREET WITNESS” Volume 1, which focuses on urban street messages and GOD inspired reality rap. There is hope; Rockiano is a walking testimony of that.
