King of Kingz

How the King of Kingz became the most anticipated independent album of the year, is due to the truthful accounts of the struggles of the streets and the absurd life of Reep “The Grim Boss”. He is the epitome of hood and his raspy voice translates his aggressive swagger and catchy hooks that attracts the fan base to the unusual metaphors and consistent artwork. Big Busines initially debuted his superstardom and gave way to the mixtape monopoly of The Blueroom and City Kingz Vol. I & II. His ferocious spit game made it easy to surpass the competition in the District. When hip-hop was at a stand still and the fans thought his game was at his peak, Reep changed his direction and the King of Kingz album displayed the compilation of the ill verses that demanded the authority of streets and the broad media spectators. The easy R&B hit single “You Got Me” illustrates a mixture of the pain and pleasure with the line “I love the way you move when you dance to Calypso, I’ll take you to the beach to Trini & Tobago.” You definitely would not want to miss the hood anthem “Still on My Grind” that exemplifies the deep passion of the Bassline Team with killer verses by Sin the Saint, Kasperelli, Young Wayne and Reep. The line “Still on my grind we chase money like we made it/even though we rich like King David,” exudes the fast paced arena that stops all plays and demands an authoritative vibe that is surely addictive. The breezy summer jam “Money” gives a vivid detail of the hood fab streets of the District. As the track flows to the banging escape of “Ducking & Hiding,” Reep expounds on his lyrical superiority that is incomparable to the competition. He draws a dead heat of the grim tales of the power of clout with the line “I ain’t even mad it’s the principalities, disrespect me I’ll rearrange your cavities.” One of the final running true masterpieces is a depiction of how he flipped the script on “Flow Opera” that gives a description of the grimy streets of Washington DC with a classical undertone that sets Reep apart from the rap game with the unexpected mixes by HB. Filled with an intrepid and fearless tongue, King of Kingz should be considered a lyrical motion picture that sedates the listener and sends immediate trauma of musical captivity until the very end of the nineteen tracks.
