Details:
Leisur Hive (formerlly Leisurehive) were formed by Daniel Knowler and Maria Vellanz in an attempt to fuse angular, avant-rock songforms with an emotional, visceral intensity.
Their abrasive tones have been compared to such musical individualists as Swans, Cranes, Wire, Cop Shoot Cop and The Fall, but Leisur Hive exist very much in their own personal world.
Spasm was originally released in 2001. Since then Leisur Hive have expanded the line-up to include bassist Mark Bishop (Changer, The Panks, Living With Eating Disorders etc) and drummer Bob Leith (Cardiacs, ATV, Lydia Lunch etc).
They are currently working on a new album to be released early 2004.
