15 MP3 Songs
CLASSICAL: Contemporary, EASY LISTENING: Mood Music

Details:
Steve Letnes has been playing the piano for over 18 years. He grew up learning the Suzuki method(learning music by ear) because he is legally blind. Although he has written music since grade school, he began taking it more seriously in his early teenage years.
As he composed his own works, be took inspiration from such music moguls as Rachmaninoff and Tchaikovsky (19th Century Russian composers). Through life experiences with love and dealing with vision loss, much depth has been added to his Contemporary Romantic style.
Steve Letnes'' CD "Incorporio" uses tension in order to build to a climax often associated with film scores. He intermingles thematic texture with classical layers to culminate in a modern classical sound.

1st person...
I am not a fan of most modern piano music because I believe it to be too passive. Light piano that blankets people with soft and cuddly emotions. I want to create music that finds that most vulnerable point in somone''s soul and keep pushing. "The unexamined life is not worth living," said Socrates, thus I want people to explore themselves. Life isn''t easy and we tend to evade discomfort rather than seek out happiness. The only way to do that is to dig through the emotional detritus of our own person and press on. "M & R", "Eighteen Days" and "Surfacing" are good examples of these thoughts.
