Outlet plays a collision course brand of original music with an alternative attitude and an aggressive edge. Under the sunny blue skies of Carlsbad, NM Outlet was formed just two short years ago. While the New Mexico sunshine might not show in their music, the desert grit and sand of the southwest really comes across in their sound. Simon Bowers of Drop had this to say, "I''ve seen Outlet since the beginning, and I really think that their talent and dedication will take them to the top.” That talent and dedication is one of the reasons Outlet is currently one of the fastest growing and highest drawing bands in the Sun Belt’s music scene.
Outlet’s songs are written on a variety of topics, covering such touchy subjects as politics and religion with intellect and honesty while shedding new light on the time honored rock-and-roll trio of girls, love, and cars (although not always in that order).
Although young (the oldest member is only 18), Outlet has a strong background in the world of Music and Radio. Lead Singer Josh Hester, continues his family’s rich musical tradition that goes all the way back to his grandfather, a successful gospel musician. Guitarist Hawk Fick, a Native American, has only been playing guitar for two years but that is unseen in his incredible natural ability. Multi - Instrumentalist Austin Polley has never taken any music lessons but is a modern day virtuoso, playing not only the piano, bass, and guitar but also providing the backbone of Outlet’s sound with his sturdy drums and percussion. Ryan Mann, the newest member of Outlet, has helped to solidify the band with his impeccable timing as Bassist.
