Details:
Thank you for taking a listen to our CD, When Was I A Liar. We recorded and engineered the songs ourselves at Andersound Studio in the Twin Cities. Then we took them to Tom Herbers, who mixed and mastered them at his studio, Third Ear. You might recognize Tom''s name -- he''s worked on a lot of fine music, like Low, the Jayhawks, Haley Bonar, AWITN, etc...
Live In Japan is a Minneapolis based three-piece band (Dan Scott, Rusell Munson, and Nathaniel Morton), independently owned and operated since 1998-ish. Small Circus Music is the moniker used for most all of Russel and/or Dan''s recording endeavors. We''ve played locally with Low, Bright Eyes, Pedro the Lion, Songs: Ohia, Jenny Toomey, Halloween Alaska, A Whisper in the Noise, Ashtray Hearts, and other nice bands. Our music fits in there somewhere.
We''ve also played live on Popular Creeps, a local music show on the late, great Zone 105 FM, and a couple of times on Rock & Roll Over, a local music show on Radio K 770 AM (college radio at its best). Our self produced 8-song demo, Demonstrations of Live In Japan (which we did in 2000) received regular airplay on local radio and can be freely heard at https://www.tradebit.com. This website also contains streaming concert footage, and mp3s.
