Details:
Cincinnati, Ohio''s Morticite was formed in May ''92 intending to come up with their own form of extreme music. In 1993, with the solid lineup of Carl Wells (drums), Cedric Cox (bass/vocals), and Steve Eberl (guitar/vocals), they began working on writing their own form of music with many extreme influences. Their first release came in 1994 with Nations of the Plague, containing 7 songs of aggresive, raw grindcore with meaningful lyrics about topics such as racism, greed, and corporate propaganda. That demo thrusted them into the underground and they made contacts with people all over the world. Next came Infested Commercialism in 1995, which furthered the development of their sound and established them even more in the music scene. Their next release came in 1996 when they joined forces with fellow Ohio band Drogheda and released a 7" record of complete chaos and utter destruction. These were limited to 500 copies and sold out within the year. Morticite then appeared on Extremist Records Compilation CD Vol.1. They played with some crowd gathering bands like Cannibal Corpse, Grave, and Broken Hope which helped push them into the local scene''s eye. Then in 1997 they came out with a promo called Abstract which was in anticipation of an upcoming release. Later that year Right of Insubordination came out with much improved sound quality and musical destinction. They then appeared on Vol. 2 of the Extremist Records Compilation CD. Then they played more shows than ever at local venues which establish their following stronger than ever. Finally in 2000 they teamed up again with Drogheda, only this time on a Split CD- with more power and intensity than any previous effort. In 2005 they released Digitized, a CD-ROM featuring videos of new songs.

The latest CD is titled The Nondescript. It contains 11 tracks of new material, produced with more clarity than ever before. After being together for 16 years, their sound is more original than ever. They have established themselves as a band that isn''t going to break down, and that their unique sound will only expand, proving they are a force to be reckoned with in the extreme music scene.
