M. T. Glass appears at Jazz Clubs up & down the East Coast, but rarely gets passed security.
He is from Belford, New Jersey; grew up listening to the sounds of WNEW–AM (“Eleven Three-O in New York”) and credits William B. Williams and Jonathan Schwartz with introducing him to American Classical Music.

To paraphrase Henny Youngman, “Take my songs, please!”
This album presents 3 types of music:
Four traditional vocal numbers,
Four traditional instrumentals,
Four mood pieces with implied melody.
First the vocals:
"Tonight, Just Right" is intended as an opening number for a cabaret/lounge performer. In the right hands (throat?) it could really go places.
"In My Heart" is a lullaby dealing with adoption. It addresses the new additions to the family, as well as the journey. With the right voice and arrangement the song could be used to raise awareness for maternity and adoption services.
"See Camden Today" is meant to promote involvement in one of our nation’s poorest cities. My hope is that it will: 1) encourage some folks from the suburbs to try Camden’s new attractions, shops & services, and, 2) be used to raise money for one of the many non-profit groups trying to light candles in the darkness.
"If I Were Smart" deals with separation and loss. It was inspired by our Nana’s move from New Jersey to Georgia. When she gave advice, she often started by saying, “If you were smart…”
It can easily be reworked to speak of other relationships.
The Instrumentals:
"Getz Me Every Time" is my tribute to Stan Getz. It features a slow bossa-nova feel with a Tenor Sax lead.
"M T Gee" and "Good Night" are smooth jazz numbers featuring a Soprano Sax lead.
"Handful" is a ragtime/stride piano piece.
Finally, the moods:
"Riverside" has a cool jazz feel,
"Blue Too," the blues,
"Falling", a jazz club vibe featuring jazz guitar,
"Star Worn", a dramatic, orchestral feel.
