The Artist Buttafli, Vanessa Helene Mazaltov Ventura-Robin, was born on September 16, 1972 in Miami, Florida. Her Parents Lenore and Henry Ventura participated in the local arts community, and subsequently Buttafli received early training in Singing, Dance and Drama. It was at this point in time, as a child, that Buttafli began hearing songs in her head, and won the PTSA Reflections Songwriting Competition at the age of eight. Buttafli performed in over three dozen dramatic plays and musicals by the time she was twelve. Buttafli studied film & tv at University of Miami & FAMU (Czech Republic), then recieved her BFA from New York University''s Tisch School of the Arts Film & TV Program. Buttafli went on to direct music videos & EPK''s for artists Chuck D., Professor Griff, DJ Hurricane, Xhibit, Pharoahe Monch, Big Gipp, Question, Self, Dj S&S, Jacky y Benji & Sisqo. She also lensed television segments starring Yin-Yang Twins (Striver''s Row MNN), Freeway, Swizz Beats (HipHop Nation ZoomCulture/NBC), and work in various capacities in the Film industry. Residing in Manhattan at the time of the tragic event 9-11, the music spirit became more and more prevalent in Buttafli''s life. From this point on, after this world defining event, music became the premiere outlet for all of Buttafli''s emotions, feelings, and expression, and The Buttafli Sho... Volume 1 was born. Song by song, step by step, Buttafli aspires to introduce a new genre of music - New Spirit Dance, music which may play well at a Club or a church or a synagogue or at the beach... Anywhere and everywhere. Dance is a strong component of expression for Buttafli and she aspires to spread her strong dance energy, along with the music spirit, to the world. Buttafli believes in Peace, Harmony, Disarmament, Obama, and the ability for mankind to transform itself to the highest spiritual plane where war, famine, greed and racism do not exist.
