Based out of the capitol city of Columbus (with barns a-plenty), LORI only boasts one Ohio native (other home states include Texas, Kansas, and Michigan) yet their hooky pop numbers undeniably reference Ohio IndieRock veterans like The Sun and Guided By Voices... it could be the air, or the barn... or the air in the barn, or something. Either way, it''s something.
LORI consciously draws inspiration from even older classics, from the Byrds to the B-52''s to Neil Diamond, with each member bringing something incredible and diverse to the mix, be it skill, lack of skill, mystery, or plain idiocy... but at the end of the day, this foursome shares an admirable obsession with music and a true heartfelt desire to rock the crap out of whomever will listen.
Desperate to induce good times, LORI is not EMO, and is even loosely driven to contrast the mopey doom and gloom of current music trends with fist pumping hooky pop anthems and three minute shake-that-ass guitar romps... "If it''s not fun for us, how could it be fun for you?"
