Todd Gholar grew up in Southern Mississippi. He gained an interest in music as a young teenager, playing drums and keyboard in church. As he developed in music over the years, he added bass guitar to his instruments. He moved to Virginia in 2002 and quickly began playing for several artists and churches in the VA/DC/MD areas.
In March of 2007, God instructed him to put together a gospel group that would be willing and ready to praise God unconditionally. Although unconfident in his own abilities, Todd was sure of God''s instructions and set out to fulfill the vision. Unconditional Praise (commonly called UPraise) was founded.
UPraise is comprised of young adults throughout the northern Virginia and surrounding areas who are committed to praising God unconditionally through gospel music. Under the guidance of the Holy Spirit and the direction of Todd, UPraise is dedicated to serving God and ministering to His people. Neither money or fame is a factor, but spreading the word of God and touching His people is the key focus of the group.
In August 2007, God granted UPraise''s first album to be released. STAY STRONG is a contemporary Gospel CD with multiple flavors. Now, UPraise has released the sophomore CD entitled Unconditionally.
