The tunes on Lonesome Steve (Fowler) & The Coyotes (aka The Toddlers) Christmas EP, "Ho Ho Hobo," take jabs at the holidays but are populated by misfits who long for the season as it''s meant to be.
The chorus of the melancholy first track, "Thanksgiving with a Prostitute," includes the phrase, "Just two lonely souls trying to get through the day ... today we''ll find something to be thankful for." Erin Johnson provides lovely harmonies.
While "All I Want for Christmas is the Charges Dropped" has some funny, tongue-in-cheek lyrics, it also includes the sentiment, "It''s Christmas time for everyone but me."
The story of the "Little Drummer Girl from Saskatchewan" is the darkest track, and Fowler presents it as a beat poem.
The disc is available at Coconuts in Evansville or at https://www.tradebit.com where you can also get a "Ho Ho Hobo" T-shirt and other Lonesome Steve stuff.

Cheaper than a $5 prostitute and looks much better! Three brand new Holiday tunes that will more than likely
be stuck in your head the whole year. Lonesome Steve & The Coyotes have given a little taste of their unique style
of not-yer-momma''s country music. No guest rappers. No MTV video. No overdone production.
Real musicians playing real songs! What more can you ask for?
