Love, Joy & Faith BIO

Love Joy & Faith are the 2002 Billboard DMS New Artist Discovery winners and they were also 2001 Billboard DMS finalist.

Love, Joy & Faith (their real names) are sisters, and this is also the name of their group. Born and raised in Louisville, KY, they began singing together at their grandfather''s small church. They proceeded further in their career performing in talent shows together. Later, Love, Joy & Faith would attend The Youth Performing Arts School in Louisville, KY. They would go on to earn each of their individual degrees in arts and entertainment. After attending colleges in different states, they reunited once again as the group Love, Joy & Faith.

The group goal is to complete an album they can be proud to call theirs. This includes writing lyrics and composing the music. Another equally important goal is to work together in the film industry. All have experience as talent and experience behind the scenes. Their crazy high energy can be refreshing to work with. All of the music submitted is original Lyrics by: Love, Joy & Faith. And all music was composed and arranged by Joy Yascone.

Joy Yascone
Producer/Composer/Actor/Vocalist
Joy is the middle child but never had to fight for attention. She taught herself to play the piano after her mother (Glenda Yascone) bought a baby grand for all her children. Joy Yascone earned her BA in film from Columbia College Chicago. Her film degree has served her well as she has composed scores for film. As a composer and pianist Joy recently completed a score for the British film entitled The Battle Of Ypres, a 1925 feature on World War I for MPI Media group/WPA film Library. The film was never before seen in the United States. The score received excellent reviews and Joy was invited to appear on NBC Chicago, and ABC''s Louisville tonight, as well as many periodicals. Joy''s style of music ranges from classical to House, and all of her Tracks are produced originally using the Kurzweil 2600XS.

Faith Yascone:
Actor/Lyricist/Vocalist/Dancer
Faith Yascone is the youngest of the Yascone clan. Faith has enjoyed raving from Chi Town to South Korea. She has earned her BA in Television Production from Columbia College in Chicago (emphasis in editing) and is currently working in Television Production. She is the creator of Club Kid Production, "Sheer Energy," Deep House Parties. As a dancer she received a scholarship to train at Joe Hall Dance Studio of Chicago. She has been an Avid Editor of several productions and an abstract digital artist. Faith is also the Founder of Columbia College Anime Organization (still going strong) and has done voice over work for several student animation projects. Her next mission is to try and take over the world. Faith is truly a boundless spirit.

Love Yascone:
Actor/Lyricist/Vocalist
Love is the oldest of the three sisters. She earned her B.F.A. in Regional Theatre from Webster Conservatory at Webster University (graduated with honors). She was an apprentice with Actors Theatre of Louisville and The ST. Louis Black Rep. She studied vocals for six years and has performed in several musicals for regional and children''s theatre. She recently shot a principal role for Toyota''s Magic Summer commercial. She has also studied Tai Chi Ch''uan, Kung Fu Shaolin and stage combat. Her love for music and film has created an unusual attraction to movie soundtracks. She likes telling a story whether it is through her lyrics and vocals or her acting. She likes to expose, enlighten, touch, and understand the driving force behind human motivations.

Press Release
Billboard Announces its DMS New Artist Discovery Winners in NYC

Billboard''s 2002 DMS New Artist Discovery Winners are none other than the sister group Love Joy & Faith (Love, Joy, and Faith Yascone their real names). They received this recognition after entering their daring single The Tales of The Broken Hearted Bitch. A song that explores the rational/irrational feelings of a woman wronged.

All girls are singers/songwriters/producers. Which means all of their material is original and self produced. The actual music composition comes from the hands of Joy Yascone on her Kurzweil K2600. In other words she does not use computer samples. In addition to their achievements in music all three girls have graduated from college. Love has a B.F.A in Regional Theatre; Joy has a B.A. in Film Production, while Faith has a B.A. in Television Production. These girls decided to really cover their bases in the entertainment industry and their love for storytelling, dance (Faith is amazing on the floor), and the dramatic is quite apparent in their work.

Billboard Magazine describes these women as the "bastard child of ESG and Felix da Housecat" Michael Paoletta Billboard Magazine September 21, 2002. When reviewing other songs from the group Michael Paoletta of Billboard found their work to be "equal parts Missy "Misdemeanor" Elliot, Thunderpuss, Liz Torres, Felix da Housecat, and The Neptunes" March 9, 2002 issue.

Yascone sisters win
Love, Joy and Faith Yascone are moving forward with their plans to take over the entertainment world.
The Louisville sisters, who go by the stage name Love, Joy & Faith, recently won Billboard magazine''s 2002 DMS New Artist Discovery award. Their winning song, "The Tales of the Broken Hearted Bitch," was compared by the judges to the work of Missy "Misdemeanor" Elliot and the Neptunes. The sisters were finalists for the award last year.
"To be recognized by . . . Billboard magazine is a feat within itself," Love Yascone said. "Many signed artists have yet to be recognized by the chart-driven magazine."
"We think that, if used in the right way, it will open many doors for us," Faith said. "We are not waiting for people to come knocking at our door because of winning. . . . This award gives us the green light to knock on everybody''s door."
