About the CD:
"Malfunction Junction" is a mix of straight ahead rockers and rootsy ballads about drifters and love lost. It ventures from Rolling Stones or Replacements-like rave-ups ("Attitude") to heartfelt Americana ("Say Something/I''m Waiting"). It''s got the twin-guitar attack of ex-Refreshments Brian Blush and Detroiter Bob Monteleone. And it features the "tongue planted firmly in cheek" lyrics that Refreshments fans have missed since the 1998 break-up of that seminal ''90''s band.

About the band:
Luck and Trouble is the collaboration of former Refreshments guitarist/songwriter Brian Blush and Detroit based musician/producer Bob Monteleone. Hooking up originally at Bob''s studio to demo some of Brian''s new compositions, the veteran musicians soon realized they had a special chemstry that doesn''t occur often in life.
Brian Blush has spent the last decade playing guitar and writing songs with bands from Tempe,AZ.,Portland,OR. and Los Angeles,CA. Blush''s career highlights include being a founding member of Mercury recording artist The Refreshments. He co-wrote the hit singles "Banditos", "Down Together" and "Mekong" for the Refreshments. With the Refreshments, he also co-wrote and performed the theme from Fox Television''s "King Of The Hill". Brian also toured as lead guitarist for a short time in the early ''90''s with the Gin Blossoms.
Bob Monteleone has spent his career playing with such Detroit luminaries as reggae band Black Market, rock radio staple The Look, as well as lethal blues/rock jam-band Electric Mud. In the winter of 2002, Monteleone launched Hanzie Records, which features some of the acts he has recorded like Scuba La Boobala and Things About Nothing. Hanzie Records will continue to release compilation discs ("Hanzie Records:Volume 1") as well as full length recordings like Luck and Trouble''s "Malfunction Junction".
Luck and Trouble released their debut CD "Malfunction Junction" in December 2002. It is an eclectic collection of songs which are tales of drifters experiencing life with all of it''s subtleties, joys and pitfalls. It also rings out with defiant celebration at even the low points of what is, in a nutshell, the journey of life.
