WHAT ARE YOU PASSIONATE ABOUT? I am passionate about God''s supremacy in all that He is and does and has created us to be, and all that we are, and all that we do in and through and for and unto Him.
THOUGHTS ON LEADERSHIP: I do not consider myself worthy of any position I''ve been given in leadership, or the platforms I have as a musician, but I try humbly to do my best, and to be a good steward of what''s been given to me. I am a sinner saved by the grace of God. That means I''m not perfect, but I do have a new life in Jesus Christ by the power of His blood. I believe living a life worthy of being modeled is the best way to lead others.
WHAT MOTIVATES YOU? I am deeply concerned for my generation, and have a strong desire to see us come before the throne of God and bow in humble reverence to His majesty. I desire to promote a correct understanding of Who He is, and who we are, and the relationship between us. I would love to see my generation passionately enjoy and delight in God, and in doing so, glorify Him forever. I feel a sense of urgecy for my generation. I am deeply motivated to encourage and strengthen those I call my brothers and sisters in Christ. I have an increasingly compassionate heart for those who do not know Jesus Christ as their personal Lord, Savior, and Friend. I find myself looking for opportunities to share about Him and what He has done in my life and what He can do in other''s lives if they would only turn to Him.
EDUCATION: Associate of General Studies from Mt. Hood Community College, Gresham, OR. I spent a year and a half at Multnomah Bible College, majoring in Bible/Theology with a minor in Music Ministry. I''m planning on going back there eventually to finish up my degree when I can afford it.
OCCUPATION: I work at Starbucks. For the 2000/2001 school year, I was an intern for the college-age ministry (24:6) at Good Shepherd Community Church. I took a year off, but am now again the music and worship intern for 24:6. I''m very excited about this work because it is basically what I want to do for the rest of my life.
PREVIOUS MUSICAL ENDEAVORS: Ebb Tide, The Pimpernels, The Brethren.
CURRENT MUSICAL ENDEAVORS: God has given me some songs. I don''t claim that they came from me. They are truly an expression of my heart, but I believe that they came from the work that God is doing in my life, and would not exist had it not been for His sovereign plan for my life. I set a goal to have my first album, a worship album, out by the summer of 2002. I have been anxious to share the songs God has given me with others. I began recording this project in mid-February 2002. I was excited to work with Caleb Brumbelow in the studio. He was my engineer, as well as a sounding board for me in the production end of things. Caleb is my brother-in-law, as well as, former ebbtide band-mate. This album was completed and released on July 28, 2002.
