I am in my mid 30''s and have been writing and singing for half of my life. I have a wife and 3 sons. I am the first born male of a musical family. My dad was a night club, country artist until the mid 70''s. Now he''s born again and pastor''s a Baptist church. I can say that my roots are Christian, but my views of the world are quite realistic and contemporary. New times, new approaches, new songs for new people.
I have had some terrible church experiences in recent years. It has given me a different vision for ministry and how the world should perceive, Christianity. Church people can be extremely hurtful in their false perceptions of right and wrong and very non-Christian in their behavior toward their fellow man, let alone brothers or sisters in Christ. We should expect rejection from the world, but never the church. Nonetheless...
The music and songs I write and sing about are based on my experiences with my faith and life. I do it from the heart. I believe in God, but I have a difficult time understanding my place in life. My hope is that one day, I can sum up the answers to life or just my questions in the claim to fame song to come.
