Their latest project "Mary J & Qwest", is an example of how they''ve crossed cultures, nationalities, denominations and age barriers; all for the sake of the Gospel. The ministry of Mary J & Qwest has been marked as an intimate one, reaching the hearts of the wounded, broken and even the depressed. At every place they have ministered, someone has received healing in their spirit or simply a word of encouragement.
Mary J & Qwest are a new group that has been singing together at their church, Solomons Cathedral, for over 6 years and as a group since November of 2002. God has graced these young women to sing in venues, churches, homes and even the streets. They''ve ministered at the Upper Room in Detroit, Michigan on several occasions, The International Conference of C.O.O.L.J.C and C.A.T.S. inspirational Regional.
Mary J, close friends with Qwest, has been singing since the age of 3 and loves to sing, direct, and write inspirational songs. Qwest are all blood sisters and have been singing together since they can remember. Qwest stands for: "Qualified With Every Spiritual Thing". Mary J & Qwest are dedicated to the Lord and what He has called them to do. These young women have exhibited so much passion in praising and worshipping God, you can''t help but to be ushered into His presence. God''s hand is on them and he is using them to reach this generation for him.
Included in their latest CD "Mary J & Qwest", are contemporary songs such as "Something Inside", "Do you Remember" and "I Apologize". Heartfelt encouraging songs like "Nobody but you Lord" and "Safe in His Arms". Traditional hand clapping songs such as "Leap for Joy", "Take Time to Pray", and "His Amazing Grace". All songs were written by: Mary J, except for "Safe in His Arms" and the CD was produced independently.
