Details:
Matt has been involved with many bands and performers of varying styles including; Wilby, mtb, The Legendary Hotdogs, Building 521, The Mancubs and Dead Man''s Shadow to name a few. For his most recent projects he''s gone solo.

After much brainstorming trying to find a (band) name, he decided to listen to friendly advice and go under his own name. However, being named Matt Brown is not an uncommon occurrence, which meant some kind of variation was necessary.

After a moment of inspiration it was decided to precede Matt Brown with ''The''. Which sits well with Matt, as he always liked the idea of being in a ''The'' band. So there you have it: "The Matt Brown".

For his first solo effort "Title Track (Higher and...)" Matt has produced what he calls the ''dejavu album''. This consists of the Title track "Higher" which was originally to be a single track for the first album. However, this soon turned into a project all its own. So much so that it has become an album itself. It all started when Matt borrowed the lyrics from Higher to help development of a new tune. Then found that he couldn''t part the lyrics from the melody. Thus, eventually, ending up with a song with multiple identities.

Now he''s got that out of his system, work can continue on the next album, which is actually the one before this one!
