Michael hails from Texas and spent many a night driving to Austin, "the live music capital of the world", where he was exposed to a wide variety of musical styles. Since those hot nights, he has taken his voice and energy across the globe from London to Manila. He currently works out of Los Angeles and has quickly become a member of the popular L.A. music circuit working with his band Borne.
His music exudes a pop/rock feel that is common with many popular shows on The WB and The Disney Channel. Apart From Within conveys Michael''s unforgettable ability to combine memorable melodies with insightful lyrics. These traits, which have been developed over years of singing a cappella, have helped Michael find his truly unique quality.
The winter of 2003 saw the formation of Mewborne''s Indie record label, Los Angeles based SEP Records. Pre-released cuts from his debut album have been peaked the interest of music supervisors for film and television, who are currently ready to start placing his tracks in upcoming productions.
Upon the release of his debut album Apart From Within in the summer of 2004, Michael Mewborne found the response to his music overwhelming. Indeed his first solo venture of original music is both the culmination of months of hard work and a harbinger for greater things to come.
